Best MOVIE you've ever seen

I am a movie fanatic. I love watching movies: comedies, dramas, horrors, romance, you name it. I don't like one particular genre. I am open to any kind of movie and I consider it to be a *good* one if, after I'm done watching it, it leaves me linger on thinking about something (a line, a scene, the whole message of the film, a dialogue, a pretty face! ). Every good movie I saw left something in me. But then again, don't we all have these feelings?

So, cutting the crap, even though it's so hard to choose, I can say I have 2 favourite films.

1. The Talented Mr. Ripley - it's just... just brilliant! i just don't have words to describe it.

2. The Blair Witch Project - man... f*** me! i swear to God, and i am not exaggerating, i promise: i almost s*** myself while watching it... and after i was done watching it, i walked around the house shaking like mad saying "damn, what a movie!!! damn!!! damn, what a movie!!!..." - they should have taped me doing that and show it on "Candid Camera" or something - my tragedy would be other people's comedy lol.

let's say i also have a 3rd one: Titanic - do i need to say anything about this one?

So, share, what are the best movies you've ever seen? The ones you could watch over and over again without getting bored?

Back to the Future. Without a doubt my all time favourite. I've seen it, and the sequels, dozens of times from my childhood on. And I still adore it with the fervour I did then.

I can think of few films which are so perfectly structured, there's not a single line of dialogue that doesn't help the plot. Yet none of it sounds forced. The visuals are perfect too. Plus it's awesome fun, a near perfect feel-good wish fulfllment film.

I still want to be Marty McFly. God yes.


However, my favourite film of the past decade is Hable Con Ella. Again, the film is wonderfully intricate, all the lines of dialogue work both in advancing the plot, and a greater argument about communication.

Every time I see it - and lord knows I've watched it often enough since I first saw it last year - I see something new.

An example: Marco and Benigno are talking, separated by a pane of glass. Ostensibly this hinders communication between them, all they want to do is hug one another. But looking into the glass, one sees Benigno reflected, such that his image is perfectly superimposed over Marco on the screen. Right down to their eyes merging. The point at which they seem most remote from one another, they are in fact closest.

The whole film is that perfectly made. I do adore Pedro Almodуvar. With so much of my heart. Also, I think too much about things.

best 2 movies i've seen is Shawshank Redemption and Lйon The Professional

Girl, Interrupted because I can relate to that movie Hehe.. Seriously, that movie rocks.. and the song "The End of the World" by Skeeter Davis which is played in that movie is just so sad.. *tear*
I also like The Blair Witch Project! That movie scared the crap out of me.. I love movies like these, because some people think the blair witch exists.. so it's almost like a based-on-a-mystery-movie and mysteries rawks The Shining was also a good movie (if I havent mixed it up with some other movie.. Is the Shining the one with the dude screaming "redrum"? Then thats the one i mean, haha ). I like mostly scary movies but comedies are also great All my friends say 8 Mile rocks, and since I'm a big Eminem-fan I'd probably like it too. But who knows?

oasischuan, it is funny you say this because the movie won Best Foriegn Film at the Oscars a while back. But I wouldn't count on the Oscars on anything, they tend to overlook the deserving and reward the marketable.

Anyhoo, I liked it. Or at least I remember liking it, it has been quite a while since I've seen this. If it sucks, well then I hope you don't have a tainted impression of my tastes in movies... because I swear I have good taste, I swear damnit!!!
