It's most likely because you are still growing. If you get it done now your eyes will be fixed for a short period only. Once you are 19 you stop growing, and your eyes will be at a hold too.. At least for a long period until it goes the other way.

Eyes don't grow - they're the same size at birth as they are
in adulthood. Correctional vision, however, should be done
before reaching nineteen - hormonal changes are what allow
your eyes to adjust for better eyesight, and most of those
will disappear after the teenage years are over. Laser surgery
is a way of working around the body's natural chemistry and
tendencies to fix vision, so it's usually adults to opt for it. He
might just be applying that fact to your situation to avoid
any problems with mixing eye surgery and your own body's
eye adjustment [though it's not reputed to have caused a
reason for that much caution in the past].

Yeah I know. Stupid eyes. I wear 1-day contacts. Not much trouble for me. I'm lucky that I can wear them at least.

But I hope you can get them fixed at some point at least

To live an exciting life in many places, learn to really enjoy people's company and learn something about everyone, see something good in people, and be safe in knowing that life isn't all about going to school to get a good job to get good money (after I'm rich and successful, ofcourse...)

I wish I could be a musician. Starving artist or not, I want to do what makes me happy and not feel stressed about my life. And meet somebody... that'd be nice
