Musicians?

Can you play a instrument? How long have you been playing? How did you get into it? If you did, why did you stop?
Have you ever wanted to play in a band?

Can you play an instrument?
Yes, the guitar.

How long have you been playing?
I've been playing properly for nearly three years, when I bough my first electric guitar. Before that I had an accoustic, but it wasn't really for me. I'm much more interested in playing around with weird tunings and feedback and so forth.

How did you get into it?
I went through the phase of wanting to be a rock 'n' roll star. As lots of us do.

If you did, why did you stop?
I haven't stopped yet.

Have you ever wanted to play in a band?
Having given up on wanting to be a rock 'n' roll star, I've more or less given up ever forming a band, too. Although I'm keen to start making music on my computer. So one day some of my ideas might reach fruition. I don't think I'd be that great at reaching creative compromise with other band members, anyway.

Can you play an instrument?
Yes, flute and keyboard.

How long have you been playing?
Flute for about a year, keyboard for about 3-4 years. As you can see, I'm nothing compared to all of you who have played over ten years lol ^_^

How did you get into it?
The school offered flute-lessons And after that you could choose any instrument, and continue after that..

If you did, why did you stop?
Since my mother chose keyboard for me I got very bored and quit.

Have you ever wanted to play in a band?
Yeah I played in a band already and it was icky pop songs

Can you play an instrument?
Nope... next question. I'm just kidding, I play the guitar, the drums, and a wee-bit of piano (we're talking WEE-BIT here)

How long have you been playing?
Guitar: 2 years, I won't lie... I'm rather new to it, but I'm comfortable with being a late bloomer.
Drums: 8 years but no longer do I practice, sold the set last year. Found I had difficulty expressing myself on an intrument lacking pitch and ... pleasing melody you could say. Ever sing solo with just a drumset before? It's not pretty.
Piano: On and off for a few years.

How did you get into it?
Started with drums in elementary school, but music in general has always been a passion, taking more and more priority as I mature. Picked up the guitar because it just made sense to me, it just felt right in my arms. Plus, I grew up listening to James Taylor, Jim Croce, Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Loggins and Messina, etc. Piano because we have one, for some reason or another... and I fool around on it. That sounded dirty.

If you did, why did you stop?
Oddly worded question if you ask me. I never said I stopped. Who said I stopped? I wanna meet this person who said I stopped. Where are they? Are you protecting them? Um... no I haven't stopped yet. Except for the drums but I just bang on my guitar now.

Have you ever wanted to play in a band?
I get angry and throw stuff a lot, like their instruments if they piss me off enough. Nah, I'm kidding. That's totally not my style. I keep all my anger pent up and then lash out in one graceful snap of sanity. A karate man only bleeds on the inside. Right... where were we? Oh yeah the band thing. I think about it now and then but bands are very difficult to manage. You have to know your role, and most of the time with musicians you get a lot of deeply distraught strung out people who don't have much direction in their lives. So not really. Not until I'm comfortable with my own level of expertise.

Violen t.A.T.u. song? That would be AWESOME As for lessons, many a famous musician have done without lessons and if you do want to take em don't worry, if not now, maybe down the road. I'm sure your parent's support you, lessons are just expensive everywhere, I get the same thing too. Whatever you do, don't stop playing

Well, for pop music, the molody for violin is frequently not hard as classic music, as long as I could sing it, I could play it immdimately and dont need the notes It's unlike the guitar or the piano , you have tab or the chorus then can you play it it saves my money from violin scores . I love violin the most tho it's not easy to learn Actually I could play the cello before, now forget it all since I dont have a cello to practice that's a pitty, the sound of the cello is calm, sweet, and tender
