i just saw "fight club" and that's one of the most fcuked up movies i've ever seen... along with pulp fiction and trainspotting...
there's no doubt the movie is great, but what's with the happy end?! it totally doesn't fit the picture... :/
and all those metaphores... they're cool in the beginning, but later i got lost and they kinda started annoying me...
but still a great movie

Mulholland Drive - I'll never fully understand how David Lynch's mind works, but this time I was pretty close though

Oh tell me about it! This a weird one. I was told that it was one big brainfcuk of a movie, and so after watching like half of it i was so proud of myself that i had understood it. Then it all went upside down and inside out and after the movie ended i was IN SHOCK. I didnt know what happened or when or how or wtf was this movie about
Had to search the internet for explanations...

I watched it for the hot, nekkid chicks!
Actually, I watched it 'cause I had read the comic books before. Thought I'd go watch it to see how well or how bad they made it compared to the comics. Like I said before, it's not gonna be for everyone. For most people, I think you're either going to like it or hate it.

I just watched "Ghost In the Shell 2: Innocence". You anime fans will probably recognize the title. More Masamune Shirow existential psychology questioning society's increasing reliance on machines and losing our identities in the process. Visually, a lot more stunning than the first one. Storywise, nothing really new.

Ok, well I thought the movie was very impressive visually ( the cinematography's flawless, the violence kickass and the nudity...well, a bit exaggerated on how much was there - no there wasn't one boob every second frame as some idiot said ) Yet the storyline was really crap and helter-skelter, it's the kind of stories that might work well for a comic but not good enough for a feature movie. The constant voiceover was a bit annoying as well.
The story with Mickey Rourke's character had the best visuals and I'm sure they used the least makeup on him It was cool to see Rutger Hauer in a cameo.
Bruce Willis' story was a bit boring and the overrated Clive Owen's one reminded me a lot of Kill Bill for some reason.

Visuals:9/10
The rest: 4/10

Overall: 6.5

Cool movie overall, not my type of movie though...

Der Untergang/Downfall. Doesn't reveal anything new, it deals with already-known facts, but it stands out among all the other WW2 movies as it doesnt deal with Hitler's victims, but with Hitler himself, a pathetic madman in his last days. Very well-made movie, great actors. Worth a watch.

TENTANG DIA ( About Her ) - Indonesia

This is the hardest one to get the ticket. When I was in the cimena at midnight show it was full seat with parent even bring along whole family. This going to be box office here I think, what about in Indonesia? anyone knows?

I was curious to go watch this movie when they interview the director and producer about this movie. They said there is lesbian love involve in this . aren't they scared of the kontroversi that it might brought to public.. but very interesting to me was the answer by the director .. He said not every teenages are happy .. we are always shown the happy life of teenage movie .. and about the homosexual issue, he said the whole world already opened to issue .. but Malaysia and Indonesia we rather not to talk about it .. but its happening around us and we should be exposed to this so we could get along with the rest of the world .. ( well he said something like that in Indonesia language).

I love the many things about the movie and that Melly Goeslow is familiar to me as Lena Kiper.. I always wonder if she follows Russian music industries like TATU and Kiper.

Something from the movie:

"There are only two BIG things in life, Love and Death
... when you can conqurer both .. you be not afraid of anything..."

i watched "ring 2" yesterday and i won't say it's a great movie, just because i expected more horror scenes... but it's a very good movie with great acting, effects and atmosphere... the end is done well, nicely rounded up the whole story and ended it for good

"Swing Kids" - Seen it before though, but still really good. It's about 3 friends that fall apart when one is forced to join Hitler Jugend.

'Collateral' - Tom Cruise looks very cool with the grey hair and suit.
