Ruivelle, it does have some text. I think. LOL. But, yeah, it's mostly imagery, I do believe. I love the story though. It's just so... sweetly sad. Boo.

I love Anime!
My all-time favourite is 'Akira'. I first saw it when I was 10 years old and it captivated me even then. I had a really crappy 4:3 VHS copy of it for years so when I bought the DVD last year and saw it in widescreen and digitally remastered it really blew me away! It sounds daft but I can really identify with the character of Tetsuo. So much so that I plan to have a picture of him tattoo-ed on my arm. I also have a 6.5 inch model of him in my room, complete with detachable robotic arm!
I've got the entire original 'Bubblegum Crisis' series on video, although unfortunetly it's dubbed in English (I'm a purist who'd much rather watch in Japanese with subtitles). The soundtrack to that series is awesome. I love the opening song in the very first episode. It's so 1980's!!
I've also got 'Monster City' and 'Ghost In The Shell' although I haven't watched either in a very long time. I have 'Urotsukidoji - Legend of the Overfiend' and 'Legend of the Demon Womb' on DVD but I never watch them either cos they make me feel sick!
I've seen a few more but I can't remember all their names. 'Perfect Blue' was awesome and I remember thinking that 'The Wind of Amnesia' was pretty cool too.
I saw another anime on the Sci-Fi Channel a few years ago that was totally kick-ass but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called! I just remember one scene in particular where a whole bunch of odd little troll-type creatures got shot to pieces by these dudes with hand-guns!

I've never read the manga of 'Urotsakudoji'. Is it as horrible as the movie?

Yeah, he did provide a bit of comic relief, didn't he?
I've become kinda desensitized to it now cos I've seen it a few times but the first time I watched 'Urotsakudoji' I turned it off after 35 mins cos it was creeping me out too much!
What the hell was the deal with those Nazi's in part 2 BTW? That made no sense to me at all? I'm normally quite good at figuring Anime's out cos I've seen that many of them but this one just had me confuzzled!
An all-knowing mate of mine told me that all the different story threads in the 'Urotsakudoji' movies take place on alternate time-lines so it's not meant to tie-up, but that seems like too much of a cop-out to me.

All I know about Urotsukidoji is that I felt sick after a couple minutes and changed to see South Park.
