Apparently the Daily Mirror got pissed at Figo for saying he knew that Rooney liked hamburgers

Pfffffffffff

Idiots.

I don't know, I think it's just gossip. Figo said something about Rooney liking hamburgers and now the british press are saying he called him "McRooney"

OK, I just read in a portuguese forum what the story is about. So, the portuguese sports paper "Record" published a small article in the "Trivia" section saying that Rooney has been eating a lot of hamburgers while in Portugal, and the newspaper wrote -as a joke, in a non offensive way- "maybe he should be called McRooney instead". Then, at some press conference, Figo was asked about Rooney and he said MANY things about him, that he was good on the field, etc, and also that he read somewhere that he liked hamburgers a lot. So THEN the brittish press at their worst style combined Figo's statement with "Record"'s joke and kind of give out the image that the whole portuguese team is making fun of Rooney calling him McRooney... Aaaahh, stupid people

Nope.. thats golden goal.. this was silver goal. The one leading after first 15 min would win.. unless the other team catched up or something. Next half was "normal".. meaning the one in front would win. Correct me if I'm wrong.. cos I only just heard the rules..

thats been said:
OMG.. I nearly had a heartattack a few times. And congratulations, miguel
Think the right team won the game..

That rule is gone now, they play till the end of each injury-time half.
I only feel sorry for the English now, when will football come home, in the year 2525?

I expect tomorrow's game to cheer me up ( not that I supported England or anything but the way they crashed out was really bad )

Talking

It is the passion flowing right on through your veins

And it’s the feeling that you’re oh so glad you came

It is the moment you remember you're alive

It is the air you breathe, the element, the fire

It is that flower that you took the time to smell

It is the power that you know you got as well

It is the fear inside that you can overcome

This is the orchestra, the rhythm and the drum

Com uma força, com uma força
Com uma força que ninguem pode parar
Com uma força, com uma força
Com uma fome que ninguem pode matar

CLOSER TO THE SKY, CLOSER, WAY UP HIGH, CLOSER TO THE SKY

COM UMA FORÇA, COM UMA FORÇA
COM UMA FORÇA QUE NINGUÉM PODE PARAR
COM UMA FORÇA, COM UMA FORÇA
COM UMA FOME QUE NINGUÉM PODE MATAR

GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO POOOOOORRRRRRTTTTTUUUUUUGGGAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahahah HOLY FUCKING SHIT, I almost had a hard attack during this game!! But let's face it: we fucking deserved it, the game was literally OURS since the 2nd half! I AM SO PROUD!

Ugly trashy Rooney and his mates can go eat hamburgers... BACK HOME!

Now of course the english fans have started to insult the portuguese fans and also TV reporters, telling them to fuck off, but this won't stop from going out to Lisbon to CELEBRATE, RIGHT NOW!!

FORÇA PORTUGAL !!!

and God bless Nelly Furtado.

I think the Campbell goal should have counted. There was a very similar goal in one of Bulgaria's matches and the referie did not hesitate. But Bulgaria is not the hosts

Having said that, I would have lost my bet but, then again, fair's fair.

I wasn't going to mention Campbell's goal. I saw nothing wrong with it, but I don't want to appear sour.

Before the tournament began I put money on England being knocked out in the second round following a 1-1 draw with Portugal. I could be more happy than I am about having apprehended this.

Then falls about the floor laughing at Beckhams penalty and England losing to a Goalie wearing no Gloves AND scoring the winning Penalty.

No doubt about it..England deserved nothing for their shocking tactics in the second half.
Portugal didn't look like scoring and they continued to defend so far back..well it made it easier for them.
Possible goal of the tournament from Costa.

Altogether now(to the tune of 3 Lions)

They're going home
They're Going Home
They're Going...
ENGLANDS GOING HOME

Bad loser much? If you didn't notice, we also had a goal disallowed by the same reason. And were still the hosts, and he was still the same referee Conspiracy theories are quite ridiculous. Of course I wouldn't be surprised if english papers wrote that they dominated the entire game and only lost cause they were robbed by the mean referee Of course also forgetting to write that he disallowed a portuguese goal for the same reasons Pitiful! But predictable. As the rude behavior was always predictable too.

ANYWAAAAAAYYYYYY Just come back from the party in Lisbon. OMG Lisbon is so crowded with people, I think 70% are out on the streets / bars / discos / main squares al celebrating hahaha There was a girl with a t-shirt saying "Not even the Queen can save them this time! England's going home - you didn't want the ?uro, you won't get the Euro!" I must have screamed PORTUGAL like a million times tonight, but it was well worth it. Everybody united! And some english fans even joined the party... Like, 4, I think!.. :P The rest mysteriously disappeared!!??... I wonder why! I saw some on TV saying Portugal should win the championship now cause they deserve it - no complains about the disallowed goal. I guess not all of the english fans are bad losers and rude after all.

Two reasons why Campbells "goal" didn't count....
Next time you see it on tv watch out for the following

1-John Terrys left arm is clearly preventing the Keeper from a clean jump. This may not have been intentional but it still happened. The English commentaters kept sayin "look at his eyes" A foul is a foul whether you're looking at a person or not.

2.John Terry is actually in an offside position. From what i remember a Portugese player is in the net and technically not in the field of play as he's over the line.
