After the massive interest shown in last year's World Tug of War Championships I thought it would be a good idea to post info on this year's European Championships to be held at DeSmelt, Assen, The Netherlands on 17 – 20 September 2009. Here is a link to the programme for the event:

The Dutch have been allowed to drop the 560-kilo competition from the event, so we have lost the best pulling.
