One of the things I like about writing is that sometimes I can make something positive out of a bad situation. That poem certainly wasn't inspired by warm and fuzzy feelings.
But I got a lot of pain and bitterness out of my system when I wrote it, so something good came out of it. Other people liking it is just an extra blessing.
