Check out Алсу (Alsou), she's got some really catchy stuff and the first song on her album 19 is killer (me thinks). Other notable mentions include Demo, Reflex (girls = wicked hot but what's up with this guy hehe), Hi-Fi, Света (Sveta), and Гости Из Будущего (Gosti Iz Buduschego).

Now for my senseless ramblings:

Haha, their name is Виа Гра (Via Gra). I just can't get over the cunning play on words, it's so funny... wait nevermind, I'm over it.

The resemblence of album covers is hardly noticable between ДАНА and Dido.

Who doesn't own this album? You have to be outta ya mind not to have this in your CD collection. Simply a must have.

What the hell? Oddly enough their song Не говори мне ничего did pretty well and if you like late 90s heartfelt boyband "music" then this would be for you.

I wouldn't buy this album just on the basis that this man scares me and it appears he emphatically wants to fight me.

She's gorgeous. What can I say. I haven't heard her music of course, but just look at that album cover. I'd probably buy it because of that. There's also a techno-god by this name Sasha. If you're in the mood, go find Xpander, a classic trance song

I'm not sure what's going on here but it's just not right. The kid actually starts like... giggling and talking in the first track. Oh yeah, I listened to it. Refreshingly, it's not techno. Still, there's no way to get this evil out of your head once you've listened to it. (This CD goes really well with Маша Распутина)

Hell yeah, it's NA-NA. I'm not sure what they sound like but I bet it's badass.

These rock gods are coming to Boston... why I have no idea. I'm not quite sure if we're ready for this. I don't think I am either. In fact, just listening to Привет, their first track on Легенды Русского Рока, has already convinced me I'm not. I'm not.

Someone might like them. Their first song is becomes catchier and catchier. But not that catchy. Hmm... why am I up doing this?

Amazing Фристайл has a best of Фристайл album. I'm not sure how this is possible because normally people have to like your music to have the ability to compile your most popular songs. Of course you can't forget the flying eagle and dated walk-like-an-Egyptian dance pose. I like it.

Also Lauris Reiniks, he's Latvian, but unless you're listening to this to learn Russian, I'd say give him a shot too.

Not a fan of Руки Вверх at all and I'm not sure how they can make all those albums and be so annoying at the same time. While I'm bashing them, I'll tell you I cannot stand Smash. GRRR.

... Just listen to Radiohead. Hehe. I'm ... tired ... tired.
