Never underestimate people's stupidity and extremism, this site *might* be a joke, but there *are* people thinking what is written there, and there *are* priests preaching that kind of "teaching".
Some years ago in the US, a gay kid was tied to a tree and stoned to death by schoolmates... I think that shows that kind of people do exist.
