i've given 'hung up' another few listens, and i have to say it's kind of blah. it doesn't bring anything new. it's just your regular pop-dance-cover thing. anyone could have sung it. i guess when you say 'madonna', you dont really say 'music'. she's never really established a style of her own. in the 80's she did nice up-beat disco-pop tunes. just like everybody else. in the 90's she did nice pop ballads. because everybody else was doing it. and at the end of the 90's, she switched to electronic. yes, cos everybody else was doing it. madonna is all about image, really. she just sings cos she has to do something. i've watched her live performances. except the moves she does (at which shakira is muuuuuuuuch better), she can't sing to save her life. she sounds like a man
