Why? There are people from the same sex who adopt children and they're great parents.

Apparently it *wouldn't* be a boy? Also, I can't believe what I'm hearing from you... in order to raise a child well, you don't need a mother and a father. Examples: gay couples who adopt, children without a mom/dad/both.
