It's true what someone said about games being a lot shorter these days. 'Super Mario World' took bloody ages to complete cos there were so many secrets and hidden levels and alternate routes through the game. If you wanted to collect all the keys and finish the Star Road it took forever!
This was cool though cos you got totally immersed in the game. So many new games are so short that you've finshed them before you have a chance to really get involved in them. I got the 'Scooby Doo' game for my GBA and I finished it in about 4 hours!
And new games don't seem to have much replay value either. With the exception of 'Klonoa :Empire of Dreams' and 'Monkey Ball', none of the games I've bought recently have been engaging enough to make me want to play them again after I've completed them. Yet I still play pretty much all of my old SNES games to this day - 10 years after I first got them!!

Do they even cure you...
or is it just to humour us before we die?
