I really don't see why there should be any problem with a trans guy running for prom king. I strongly believe that if he identifies as male he should be accepted as such and allowed to do anything that any biological male would be able to do without question. As
freddie mentioned, the only time when something like this should possibly be an issue is where they would have an unfair advantage in a serious competition.
