Avatars :: Instructions
 

From now and on every member of this Forum may upload his/her own custom avatar. Administrator of this site made some technical modifications and this option has become available for all of you.

Image requirements/recommendations:

1. Maximum size 100x100 pixels and 35 kb. *gif/*jpg - file format.

2. The image may not contain:

a) Porno or/and clear sexual motives.
b) Any kind of merchandise advertisement.
c) Any motives that may abuse another members' belief, sexual orientation, race or nationality.

3. It's not recommended to use another members' avatars as it complicates visual identification of a member by another users of this Forum.

4. It's recommended to use facial images or similar figures to express your personality.

To upload your own custom avatar:

1. Create the image using any appropriate graphics editing software (photoshop, psp, etc) and save it to your computer.

2. Use the following procedure to complete the operation:
User CP > Edit Avatar > Custom Avatar (Check the box) > Enter Avatar URL (to upload from the internet) or Upload an Avatar From Your Computer (Browse) > Save Changes

Violations of the rules above may cause banning of the user!!!

Just Gif's what about jpegs? I was playing about with the huge amount of Tatu vid caps/ photos I have and have almost 30 45x45 pixs tatu related aviatars. *sigh*

Mad Debz, I know that aurelievw1, and forre have already offered their services, but I will join them too. If you want to send your jpegs over, I can convert them to gif for you. And that goes to everybody else. :heh:

*Pouts* I am quite capable of converting them myself, thankyou. Just meens I'll have to have two programms open at once. :rolleyes:

Is it ok for two people to have the same avatar?

bgirlnikki, no it's not okay. It's not good for the identification reasons. I hope you understand what I mean.

I understand. I saw two people with the same one and was just wondering.

bgirlnikki, if they agreed to do it, so be it. I haven't recieved any complains yet.

The only thing I'm having trouble with is when someone's orginal aviatar is adoted by someone else. I've done it twice today already thinking someone else has posted until I look at the name, LOL! Oh well I'm sure I'll get used to it, :-)

I've ODed a bit on aviatars, I've made over 50 Tatu ones. I''ll upload them somewhere so people can use them. :)

Can you "upload" an avatar from a website? (Instead of writing a harddisk you can write a URL??? Yeah anyway hope you get my point lol) and if so, can you have animated images then?

Can you please increase the size to 75 square? I can't find 45 square pics anywhere. They're all to big for this site.

Why doesn't my avatar show? I loaded it from my computer and it surely isn't too big (or small, I've seen smaller). It can only be seen on my personal profile. Why's that? :confused:

RussianRoulette, you have to go to the quick links on the top of the page or to your personal profile and go to "Settings and options" and there you have "Edit avatar". Your profile picture is only for your personal profile here. In case you did use "edit avatar", just try again to upload your picture.
