Ok, Russian selection on March 07, 2012 - the list of the desperados:

01. Lena Maksimova
02. Ksenona
03. Irson Kudikova
04. Group "The UPS"
05. Sardor
06. Group "4Post"
07. Efrosiya
08. Group "Unite It"
09. Katya Savel'eva
10. Ol'ga Makovetskaya
11. René
12. Duet "Farinelli Balls"
13. Polina Smolova
14. Chinkong feat. Karina
15. Marie Carné
16. Mark Tishman
17. Ed Shul'zhevskij
18. Elena Ekimova
19. Yuliya Volkova & Dima Bilan
20. Riff Action Family
21. Aida & Timati
22. Pavla
23. Duet "Syostry Syo"
24. Group "Buranovskie Babushki".
25. Group "Jet Kids"

This will gonna hurt for sure! Looks quite embarrassing. Some of the good people obviously retracted their submission, like Sergej Savin and Lena Terleeva.

I don't honestly think that Dima&Yulia's song will be worse than this :)

It's written by our already well-known Swedish quintett, so definitely not a musical disaster (though not really creative, I suppose). What I heard so far from the possible entries of the others it seems to become very ...eh... hard to get used to. Buranovskie babushki or Dima&Yulya, that's what I would guess. With Dima and Yana very close to the leaders of the channel chances might be even better. Depends probably whether Yul can give a good live performance or not.

Well if she has her "backing" singer :D

From the rehearsal.

Not bad! and Yulia could sing in tune:)

sakuya 07-03-2012 16:01

I can hardly hear her. LQ. Lets wait for tonight. So far I think I will like the song. I always liked these kind of ballads. And I have nothing against Dima. I even like his first couple of albums.

Julia Volkova ft Dima Bilan - Back to her future (live @ Russian eurovision final)

edit: I edited link with HQ one

Argos 07-03-2012 21:04

What do you have to do as channel "Rossiya's" bosses, if you want Dima another time at the ESC? Let only the worst of Russia's showbiz perform against your favourite and wait for the people's choice - total shit or Dima?

On the bright side - Yulya did NOT blow it! She was a sexy and seducing partner for Dima and did her part well (within the limits of her vocal abilities, of course). Waiting for the decision...

...and the dental prothesis gang (horrible "song") won considerably ahead of Dima & Yulya and Timati & Aida. Sorry. wrong decision!

sakuya 07-03-2012 21:46

You were wrong argos. Buranovskie babushki won :D

...with their worst thing ever. That's something for a beer party, not for a song contest! By the way, besides the Bilan-Volkova performance I liked only the somewhat exotic entries (The Ups - ok, the singing wasn't perfectly clean, Farinelli Balls, Riff Action Family and the Syo Sisters). The rest was as expected - simply dispensable.

fanoff 07-03-2012 22:09

It's pure fun and totally understandable that Babushki have won. But Dima&Yulia would score much higher in the real contest. So no chance for Russia to win, I predict it will be out of top 10.

Yes, Trackshittaz and the hopping grannies, ESC is on the way to a monkey business :bum:

sakuya 07-03-2012 22:47

And with the latest British entry it's like retirement home...

BAHAHAHA too funny. But I did like their performance. Yulia looked nice! Too bad about the old ladies 0_0

Will it be more ridiculous than last year - if that is even possible?

spyretto 12-03-2012 12:37

haha, I'm thinking what it should be...
but it's like a car crash as they say, you can't stop watching

Hope we get at least something remotely decent this time around. The Greeks are sending a song this year at all?

spyretto 13-03-2012 05:19

she will be in a Sirinakis porn video before too long
you'd think the idiots would stop partying and think of their situation
But then again we'll get plenty of points - just make sure the camera angles are exactly the same for the final ;)
the second time you listen to it sounds boring already, so keep the camera low.

anyway thanks for the update, Argos
