Things are moving in the right direction for Lena. The venue is perfect for her debut as a solo singer. She and her band have to play a lot of such clubs all over the country before releasing an album. Otherwise she will never sell enough copies of her album. I hope this time her management have a strategy or at least professional people who have a clue of what they are doing.

Well, we know that the band tried very hard to do exactly such things with t.A.T.u. too. Playing in clubs around L.A. - at least while they were there recording. We simply don't know why it has never worked out. Wasn't the fault of the band who as we know consist of the most professional in that team anyway.

They've always had the right idea, just not the persistence. You can't do one show a month in a club and expect to get anywhere. You have to do shows practically every night all over the place to develop a base and then be able to branch out. Word of mouth is key and people have short memories, more exposure equals more spread via word of mouth.
Then after you have a base and people know who you are, media coverage becomes key. But positive media coverage, not scandal driven media coverage. |
