"A great love story. Bring your Kleenex." - Jeffrey Lyons, WNBC news

I'm really looking forward to the release of this movie, called "The Notebook". I think the plot is somewhere along the lines of "Pearl Harbor" and "Titanic". So, if you love those movie, I'm pretty sure you'll want to put "The Notebook" on your "Movies to see" list. :heh:

Plot: As a man (Garner) reads from a faded notebook to the woman (Rowlands) he regularly visits, his words bring to life the story of a couple (Gosling and McAdams) who are separated by World War II, then passionately reunited 7 years later, after they have taken different paths. Though her memory has faded, his words give her the chance to relive her turbulent youth and the unforgettable love they shared. [More details on the official site, see below.]

Cast: Ryan Gosling (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&id=1804035474&cf=gen&intl=us), Rachel McAdams (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&id=1807791956&cf=gen&intl=us), Gena Rowlands (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&id=1800022370&cf=gen&intl=us), James Garner (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&id=1800017365&cf=gen&intl=us), Joan Allen (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?=hc&id=1800015438&cf=gen&intl=us)

Sounds interesting. I like Ryan Gosling and Gena Rowlands. Don't know the other ones, though :p

Rachel Adams is the hot chick from "Mean Girls", which is a brain-dead teen comedy, so probably non of you watched it. :p And James Garner places the role of grandpa in "8 simple rules"...

I saw the movie today. It was a bit cheesy at the beginning, but the ending was incredibly touching... I actually got out some Kleenex, and I don't usually cry during movies - not even during Titanic and Pearl Harbor...

The ending left a warm, fuzzy feeling in me, though. The movie is really good for an all-girls sleep-over etc. :D
