Hi guys .. thanks ..for still supporting this thread .. I've been busy lately ..really .. the hosting provider of http://www.nichya.net had set the bandwidth limit to 2GB / day since few days ago .. I guess ..so yesterday .. the bandwidth was 2.8 GB, now have to wait till 12 midnight of where I don't know ... until we can download again ... :bebebe: ... I am going to write to them that I don't agree .. and if they not do anything .. i'll change hosting provider on March 2005, this already November.. I'm looking for one with unlimited daily bandwidth .. I think to set the daily bandwidth limit is stupid and non-sense .. and I'm going to tell them that ..

Litt .. don't be lazy .. you don't sound like one .. but more like .. provocating act to me .. LoL .. I got my cdwriter setup already .. give me a call okay .. btw, 24 Nov .. we're going to watch Shark Tale at Midvalley .. with that gorgeous girl ...you are invited .. hows that? so.. you'll see for yourself...

So...The singers are Anton Makarskiy (Second boy), Sergey Lee (the first one) and Arina.
Anton Makarskiy took part in the serial. This serial is about life of XIX century and about destinies of characters, about love. I like it very much, 'cause the serial is really very beautiful. Now it's not broadcasted in Russia.
Who are Arina and Sergey Lee, actually, I dunno. But they are not actors of the film.

Ahhh, i feel nostalgia... it's a been a long time since i was posting lots of russian music, but i've returned with a vengence, and promise more ahead.

Ok, these are 3 full albums from Fabrika Zvezd contestants... all different seasons too, i'll start from the earliest to the latest:

НИКИТА МАЛИНИН - Вспышка в ночи
Ok, this one is still uploading and i'm gonna leave it be. It's a real shame that his song from Zvezd 3 isn't on the album, Котенок, but this album left me disappointed, cause what was good about his voice is lost in most of them, except for maybe the title track which is quite smooth. I really haven't listened as far as that, it's long, but all the interludes are interesting and add something to the album for sure.

АНГИНА - Болела
This is probably the best album of three listed here, it's the most cohesive at least, and very dancey. I like the 3 first tracks but was thrown off by the next 2, so of course i'm not sure, but i definitely think it's ok, not brilliant, it's good. Most people liked Bolela, the version here is extended than the mp3 posted before.

She's Russia's rep at Eurovision this year, and i like the song she's taking (even though the lyrics are... umm, strange), she's a good performer though. I had downloaded 3 songs of this album before, Pozdno, Everybody Dance and Vremeni Net. Needless to say, Pozdno was the best and i listened to it for quite a while and i love it, it's a great song. Everybody Dance is interesting, theres some uncomphrendible english in it though. When i downloaded the album, i was, yet again, disapointed.

The Lesson to be learned: Sure they can have a few good songs from Fabrika Zvezd, but it doesn't mean their gonna get the same quality for their albums. Natal'ya's and Nikita's seem rushed, and the quality of the songs seems lost, while Angina's seemed to be reworked better.

hehehe, but i hope you like them, and if anything, Download Pozdno!

i was watching "viva polska" today and they played "leona - argument"... i didn't think it's anything special, but i can't really say after listening to it only one time... anyway, my sister kept asking: are those tATu? i'm sure they are! they sure sound like them... and stuff...

Hi I'm English but my dad is Russian and I go to Estonia quite a lot. There I listen to a station called Radio Sto FM and I've acquired a taste for Russian music, new and old.

At the moment i'm liking a song by Filip Kirkorov - Яна. I think its pop which i dont normally like, but its catchy. Does anyone else like it?

Im also looking for a beautiful song which goes along the lines of 'Lodochka, Lodochka, bolshe ne vernyotsa, ne vernyotsa Lodochka, skol'ko ne zavi'. It sounds like 90s. I cant find it on google. Can anyone help me?

I also like the song 'Est' Tol'ko Mig' but I cant find the right version I want.

There are plenty of others but these are the songs I'm liking the most at the moment. Can anyone help me find the last 2?

Thanks man, both nice but my version is a bit more authentic, sounds more recent. Indeed sung by a man, but with some drums and a sax and a guitar, sounds quite 80s/90s. My knowlede of Russian is limited so if someone can find this version I'll be very very grateful!

Someone from another forum provided the links and I managed to download both Brat 1 and 2 from rapidshare. It took a very long time ! I preferred Brat 1 :) .

Not confident enough to make a new thread on this new project of Fadeev, we'll see what sort of response it gets.

Anyway, here we have Voron (means Crow). A very goth/emo looking kid with a very typical Fadeev composition. Typical yes but still a very hard hitting song. I've heard it on a heavy rotation on the radio and had to know if it was Fadeev. Not surprised to find out that it was... the song is in similar vein to other male ballads like Vremya from Irakli or Zazhigai Solntse from that guy in Fabrika Zvezd 2.

I'm curious about a russian folk song called "Uzh kak po mostu, mostochiku" (after what I know). I don't have the name of it in cyrillic I'm afraid.

It apperantly is a traditional russian round dance folk song. You can hear it played on piano here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgNXb9iY8Hc&feature=related

What I'm curious about is if it exists lyrics for this song or if it's strictly instrumental (which wouldn't surprise me, since it's for round dance), and if anyone here knows how to get hold of a recording of that song with lyrics.

It wasn't bad, I would say. Opravdaesh' li ty, My vmeste, Razruzhit lyubov', Chelovek dozhdya, Bol' from the Russian and Break It All, Party's Over and Wild from the English one is enough.
...it was actually a really easy search...
I didn't even know that she would release another single. I look once weekly at tophit what's new. Anyway, I'm not about to praise the song to the skies...:hmmm:

The production on the track for Iskusayu is great work.

Well, actually GreenEye is a small lamp inside a car. Taxi driver turns it on when he is free and can pick up any passengers. Those lights was very common in the USSR and you can easily determine if a taxi is vacant for you. It was green cuz it less annoying for eyes of driver in night. A little summary of new clips of March 2011:

Already a quarter of 2011 is over, but the top stars mostly missed to convince us that they have something interesting to offer. The first two of the list were already posted in the threads of Tanya and Slava.
Tanya Teryoshina - Ponimaj (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZEMDboxtsQ). Tanya the chameleon! Each song, each clip shows her from another side. At least everything looks and sounds professional (ok, her singing talents not so much...).
Stas P'eha & Slava - Ya i ty (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u5XVZVDW5c). Two singers from the famous producer and composer Viktor Drobysh together with a decent song and a less decent video clip. Altogether not so bad.
23:45 - Gody letat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMS80R1gBoU). One of the top bands for the young generation with typical r'n'b-pop-hip-hop music, not bad, but the sound is horrible. Somebody should tell them how to use 'Audacity' correctly!
Lyapis Trubetskoj - Ya veryu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev6wrgSKYwc). Russian rock, or at least what Russians call rock. As always, lyrics and the video clip make his works great.

Ok, because we don't have much from the stars, we may look at the hardly known, but considerably more talented people around...
Zoya Levada - Uspokoj menya (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwY9FyArNGo). She seems to be Armenian. Pop-rock with ethno touch and definitely a remarkable voice...and I just looove the song!
Katarina Kremer - Igry bez pravil (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3PpcvvriCU). Long time not seen such a great video composition from a Russian! The director is obviously a geometry fetishist, can't stop watching!
Barochka - Hvatit! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeAlARwmvg4). Despite her young age she already wrote about 200 songs in various genres. Lately she is totally into the far far western kind of music.The number one r'n'b lady of the Ural, as they call her there.

A look to the smaller southern neighbour Ukraine reveals a similar picture. The top stars show either crap or nothing, but the less known easily compensate.

Ana Baston - Vystrel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ACSQKc0zYc). One of the most promising newcomers of 2010, writes her songs herself, although lacks a bit of variation. Quite sexxy!

Ruslana - Wow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFEDBrgYbkM) - It was silent around the ex-ESC winner for a long time. Now a new image and style - not bad.
Kamaliya ft. Filipp Kirkorov - Igra s ognem (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pq6Ckf_a-0) - Play with fire. A co-production of the Ukrainian model and singer with Russia's aging superstar of Bulgarian descent, still one of the best things in Ukraine at the moment.

The problem children of producer Nikitin (who has 5 girlgroups running, as I already told). The music is much better than the girl's performances, and their charisma...well, doesn't exist, unfortunately.

The sisters were the high-flyers of the last year - from absolutely unknown at the beginning of the year to number one hit owners on Kiev's radio at the end of the year. Not really much good songs nor interesting videos in the last year, and consequently there were only a handful of Russian songs which reached the top 3 positions of the radio charts and even those were mostly cases of 'nepotism'.

The song is for the generation 50+ and sounds quite the same as dozens of other songs from her and her former band 'Guests From The Future'. The video - no better than the music - boring!

More than 6 years ago she left the psychopathic Fadeev family, married a TV boss, gave birth to a child and wasn't seen anywhere near the showbiz, and bang! - back, with not even a bad track.

Irina Nelson left the group at the end of 2006, feeling too old for the group. Now Ira and Alyona are together again, and it seems that they didn't have aged at all. There are some good alternative groups around in Russia and some of the older bands have released enjoyable songs last year. Goth (ish)/industrial/ebm can also be found if you look a little harder. Checkout a band called Scofferlane, they sing in English. Something a bit different for you ! And here ends my fleeting Tatysite visit :)

I love her voice, no doubt, but I don't like it when people release practically the same music over and over again, and even the hat in the clip is almost as old as her career. No, lack of creativity is a sin for which I won't give my absolution. :no:

Ok, I wasn't very clear with my statement. I was speaking of mainstream music videos - dance, pop, poprock. Most people here seem to prefer this kind of music. Personally I can't complain about the releases of 2012. my favourite is Russian rock, and there was rarely a year with so many good album releases than this year, although I think even in this genre the artists were a bit miserly with good video clips. Ukrainian Videoclips of 2012 - "Strictly Mainstream" Edition

The Ukrainian scene exposed itself much better than the Russian one. Despite their greater competition (international and Russian artists) they brought about three times as many songs into the top positions in the radio charts than the Russians, and the videos are something of the best. Ukrainian clipmakers are probably the most creative ones in the whole eastern hemisphere.

In contrast to the Russian list, where it wasn't difficult to decide which clips to show you, I had a really hard time to get this one together. I had to skip several videos which I really liked. Ok, let's begin, entertainment guaranteed!

The radio top scorers first:
Svetlana Loboda - Oblaka (Clouds) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCv2kveuE3A): Sveta has to deal with an obsessed stalker. I love it how she makes fun of herself and her image.

Para normal'nyh - Nevesta (bride) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZdKHVzuIR8): The group had some kind of sophomore slump, after Ivan left the group and was replaced by the (too young for Anya) Artyom. But now they are back in the tops again, a completely normal couple, as the group name suggests.
Para normal'nyh - Vendetta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENOzwbmaee8): Not quite as successful as their other song, but you have to see this video! Settling some dispute on the streets.
Delice - Nezhno-nezhno, celuj menya (darling, kiss me) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zzD5Olj8cs): Girlgroups, in contrast to Russia, can easily compete with the solo stars of the Ukrainian scene. This one is the prime example. They release a single and a magical hand lifts them up to the number one position. While I'm typing this they have already reached No.1 with their next song.
VIA Gra - Allo, mam (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnDxljtzEUc): All good things have to come to end. The very last video clip from the most successful girlgroup of Russia and Ukraine, they closed the doors with Dec 31. Wonderful song with a moving plot.

Vitalij Kozlovskij and Varda - Ne ostavlyaj menya (don't leave me) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3zbmPN2sz0): Well, Vitya has seen better times in Ukrainian showbiz, and this song wouldn't be worth a note...if there were not this extraordinarily choreographed video. Varda can't deny that she was once one of the world's best pole dancers. So, have fun with this East-European kind of martial arts called dancing!
Erika - Paparazzi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg820feC41U): Music and clip ripped off from the first to the last second. But at least it's a really well done plagiate, and sounds good.
Olya Polyakova - Russian Style (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciF7jMH34gs): It's Dec.21, 2012 - apocalypse, and only some spot in Siberia has survived. To be among the survivors has it's price: no kokoshnik (that ridiculous head gear) - no life! Superblondinka Olya leaves out hardly any platitude about Russian culture, and of course a Lady Gaga joke. Pure nonsense!
Payuschie trusy - Vasilyok (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj_jwF-m8J4): another plagiate, music from centuries ago, and the clip - a one-by-one copy of Madonna's "Girl Gone Wild", ok...almost. And Olya the Sprat is somehow more convincing - definitely the most dirty clip of 2012 in Ukraine.

Renata Shtifel' - Dusha (soul) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-LJ5wijjQw): Ukraine has a never drying up fountain of great young voices. Tiny Renata however has the problem of being way too soft for a showbiz girl. The manager tries to give her a tougher image. Martial arts, as in this clip, and leather-clad assassin in another one, but still: even a Yorkshire terrier looks more dangerous than her.
Natasha Gordienko - Kiev-Goa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDs2UK-_ko8): Natasha on a not so uneventful journey. Even if the song may not be to your liking, you will love the video, and surely the singer as well!

Argos, I guess I will always have a soft spot for Eva Polna and her voice :D. As for the hats, she recently bought 12 in the same style but different colours from Philip Treacy lol ! Am not sure if it's really her on FB and VK but there are some odd and endearing posts including photos from inside the Kremlin and food pics !Not like your usual celeb stuff at all.

Bi-2 was a great choice.

Sadly for Mika Newton, her song and video have already been done better by an American artist- it's a blatant knock-off of Pink's "Stupid Girls". Also, the American market is brutal about any kind of accent or pronunciation difficulty, especially in pop, and she's got both.

Long time, ok! Seems I was a bit lazy lately...So, a comprehensive summary here.

Russia's topstars had no surprises to offer, but at least they didn't fail completely. No no.1, no no.2 nor no.3 in the radio charts, and average songs, if you are not too picky.

While the Russian pretty much failed in their charts, the Ukrainians dominated their own ones. Russians and international artists were only rare guests in the top three the last several months. Although the top ranked people were not always to my taste...

The top stars:
Ani Lorak - Zabiraj raj (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUf__0Mf_88) Karolina sings a pop song from the Russian rock lady Blondrock, who never does pop. Anyway, the audience was not very impressed by this. I on the contrary, liked it more than most of her other songs lately.
Svetlana Loboda - Gorod pod zapretom (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMDTSEnDOo8) For once not a scandalous Svetlana in a colorless clip.
Maks Barskih - Nebo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWvYiyoD5Jw) 90 seconds artistical boredom by clipmaker Alan Badoev, but then...Maks at his best!
Taisiya Povalij - Gde lyubov', tam i rvyotsya (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OPfaOdiNI0) Another stylish video from Badoev. Fossil singer, even older music style, but no.1 in the charts.
Tina Karol' - Zhizn' prodolzhaetsya (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p30fTzPP1ow) Tina grieves for her late husband. No.1 as well. Commiseration? Maybe.

The second league of Ukraines showbiz showed some interesting acts as well:
Para normal'nyh - Love Is (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kFk1IVll5A) Our 'normal pair' again solving their conflicts the ruthless way.
Yuliya Nelson - Zhivaya (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_D_f7lLqzI) Yuliya sings a song from an Ukrainian rock group 'Rozhden', completely beyond her usual repertoire, and for the first time she got my closer attention.
Marta - Reki poyut (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOfmdcuFajE) When it comes to cheesy pop ballads then we have here one of Ukraines greatest professionals. The music style with a clear retro touch, but perfect for conjoint hours (failproof!).
Lama - Angel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpR220Rr7y0) One of the few Ukrainian acts being successful, although she sings exclusively in Ukrainian language. Unique music style, peculiar and demonstratively plain.

Boombox - Pepel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAdjj71INsM) A soundtrack to a Russian series, and one of my favourite songs of the last half year.
Okean El'zy - Strilyaj (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Nkcn8m9M0M) and Rendez-vous (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpaPFpRRXiY). Two clips which belong together, big picture and great songs, and Svyatoslav Vakarchuks machless voice.
The Hardkiss - Shadows Of Time (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAmzK6JEgdg) Another great song from Yuliya as soundtrack for the movie 'Unforgotten Shadows'.

Time for some girlgroups:
Delice - Vetrom (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv8pXLmAXrM) The next no.1 song from this duet. You decide if it's their talent or the fact that the older sister's husband is the owner of one of the biggest Russian radio stations.
NeAngely - Roman (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pavsyH93Vs) The most unusual alto duet with their next hit, no.3 in Ukraines radio charts.
VIA Gra - Peremirie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSkHoQRQMsE) Producer Konstantin Meladze made a huge casting show for the continuation of his very popular group and these girls were the winners. The video was done in a hurry (the ex-co producer already launched his own group VIA Gra), therefore the video is not one of Alan Badoev's best works and the girls looked better in the casting show. The song reached no.1, so definitely not a failure.
NikitA - Himiya (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ0uI38wktw) The group snatched the title 'hottest girl group' from VIA Gra already some time ago, and with clips like this it will stay like this. The song will probably not hit the top of the charts, although...it's really not bad.

Inna Voronova - Ty ne moj (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU_FJsSMXNA) Yet another big voice out of Ukraines magic top hat, and even writing her songs herself, a rarity among Ukraines young voice wonders.
