Has anyone ever thought about what kind of power would be unleashed if we were to accept the philosphy "We create our own reality"?
I mean think about it, I know of many cases where people with the most positive personalities who in their own way believe this philosophy are in positions where they want to be at that moment in time or are well on their way in that direction. These are the poeple who can choose what and where they want to go in life and they have the resources to back them.

Whereas the saying, "Beggers can't be choosers." are for those who are in a situation they cannot change so they're forced to accept whatever gets thrown their way. Donr't you think that in most cases you'll find that the mentallity of those kinds of people a "I don't deserve better" or "I cannot change my life" or "I'm afraid to take that step" or even "Where would I begin"?

Some of the best advice someone gave me was..."Any beginning is better than never having one at all..."

Once we believe...we shall receive whatever it may be that our heart's desire. Then even dreams (a wish that the heart makes) will become your reality.

That's my opinion in any case...

It's nice to be back as well ^-^ I've missed talking about anything and everything freely. I just went through a bit of a rough time and needed to sort some things out (still in progress lol) - but hopefully I won't be as scarce from now on.

the mind is indeed a powerful tool with reality not being a clearly defined universals concept equally applicable to every being, but rather, what we as individuals perceive it to be. pity more of us dont make use of our minds ...

I think its a very scary words .. when what you think and what you believe is not really what it is.. then you will trap between your own realty and the real reality. When you realised.. you'll get confused ..maybe lost... then you'll crave to see yourself from the outside of you .. because you need to know what is the actually reality. But it would be hard by that time .. you can't differenciate them anymore .. you don't know what to do .. or what is right and what is wrong .. what's to believe .. what's not .. then you'll need to get into people's mind to see what they think about you .. if they could see the real you ..and tell you .. and it got worst .. because them also created their own reality .. .. :none:

Booo! hahaha .. glad to see you again here Veritas girl!! *hugs* .. I like that Ferpectly Mornal still .. ..hope you'll get out of that " rough time and needed to sort some things out (still in progress lol) " ..really soon .. well didn't mean to sound negative or what .. just teasing you ... :rose:

denial, I like the way you think.

I think when you live the way you describe (if it was even possible.. but I'm telling you, nothing is impossible) the reality (hmm...) seems scary and dangerous. It's like there are no rules because... you don't know what is right and wrong, and there is no "base" in life. I actually kind of like that... I remember when I was younger, I used to believe "this is how you should live - that other way of living is wrong". I don't know where I got this from, maybe it was just what people had told me or some kind of illusion I had of what was really going on. But I like life more when there are no rules and you can live freely. It gives a totally different aspect of reality.

The thing is though, people are so cruel, if we really created our own reality we would have all probably been dead a long time ago. Hmmm... I don't know what to think.

I think thats the only way to live, by your own reality. Ofcourse you need the guidelines of an outer influence, such as society, but in the end your life solely depends on you. But the problem with that idea is that our society has gotten so powerful that it practically demands to be a part of your life, where it shouldn't. If people found the strength to tune out the manipulating voices of society, then of course we wouldn't be left with anything else but the voices of ourselves. Thus allowing you to think without such pollution and therefore given the opportunity to create your own reality.

Very cool Veritas. You speak the "truth."(I had to say that) But yeah, I believe this way too. I think everyone creates their own reality regardless of their life situation though. Those who don't have the "resources", aren't just negative, they actually see no reason to do better because they create a reality that makes their world look better than it really is. Some people are so deep into this reality, they try to suck other people around them into it, wanting them to view life this way too. I know of some parents(mine :( ) who actually hold their children back from doing great things because they can't understand anything besides their world of misery, or in their minds, happiness. The saddest part is there is no changing them, they are programmed with that mind set from early age. One just has to distance themselves from those types of people.

QueenBee, you see.. in my reality .. you smoke and you are amazing .. LoL LoL .. :smoke:

..what if then the society disagree and and they turn away from you .. and you'll be left alone... they thought you were the misery ..." because they can't understand anything besides their world of misery, or in their minds, happiness ...The saddest part is there is no changing them.." ..
