In Deutsch: Haben Sie schauen die Deutsch movie Lola Runnt? Was weissen Sie?

In English: Has anyone here seen the German movie Run Lola Run? What did you think of it? I just saw it a night or two ago and I really liked it. Did you all enjoy it as much as I did?

Well, I saw the movie but it's quite long ago.
It's a great movie I think, not the usual kind of storyline you're used, but more kinda experimental. The director is well known for such stuff over here.
By the way he and the actress playing Lola were a couple at that time.
Concerning the music: The soundtrack is recommandable as well.

I've got the DVD but haven't been in the mood to watch it yet - most of the time, all I want to watch is crime dramas or comedies. The soundtrack is excellent and I love Franke Potente's hair!

I Love that movie :D
it's been a while since I've seen it...and I have seen it more than once....
It is done so well .... but really, it is a movie you should see at the theatre for the first time - I did - hmmm, I should re-watch it again soon....
Yes, soundtrack is definatelly worth having... and the music is such an important part of the movie.....

Love Franka Potente ... you should then also see 'The Princess and the Warrior' - from the same director - Tom Tykwer and also feat. Franka Potente :) .. in my opinion, not quite as good as Run Lola Run, but still worth seeing.

franka potente -

the movie was good, i liked it because it was unconventional and suspenseful. and funny at times in the outlandish sort of way.

ps. see The Bourne Identity. she looks even hotter in that one. :none:

Ich liebe Lola Rennt! Ja.

This is one of my favorite movies, and one of the things that got me interested in taking German in High School. I remember first seeing the animation in the beginning and going "oh, what is this crap?..." and then leaving the theater at the end going "I fukcing loved that movie!" The soundtrack is very important to the film, and I love how Franka did the songs herself. It's not a typical hollywood movie - it's very creative.

Wow coolasfcuk, that's exactly what I was thinking. Both soundtracks are good aswell, though Princess + Warrior is slow.

So the beginning animation left a little to be desired. A LOT to be desired. but the rest of the movie more than made up for it.

Lola has influenced a lot of other directors/producers. 'The Simpsons' did an homage to it in one episode. The soundtrack is also used for many other films or previews. I remember hearing the music in the preview for the Bourne Identity. Franka Potente will also appear (i think) in the Bourne sequel.

I saw "Princess and the Warrior" last year ... I was kinda disappointed, since I was expecting such good things after "Run Lola Run" :coctail: which was a great movie  ... but ehhh, I thought "Princess and the Warrior" was only OK, sort of interesting but definitely not in the same class.

If you have seen a little romantic comedy starring Gwyneth Paltrow and John Hannah called Sliding Doors (1998), the ideas of slight factors can make huge differences in people's lives. And if you know about Volker Schlцndorff's 1979 classic Blechtrommel, Die -- aka The Tin Drum, you'd know where does Lola's glass-breaking power come from.

Or maybe Lola came before Sliding Doors? ;)
