hey mods :)
i was i was just wondering if you are thinking of adding chat to your site.
tatugirls has it but it's terrible, no one is EVER on there.
if you guys would have it here, it would rock, becuase since you mods don't want this forum to turn ridiculous like tatugirls, then i guess a chat thing would be best (since ppl can just talk there w/o creating WAY too many threads).
just a suggestion :)

We are going to have a chat room, it's going to be stylish like our forum, and easy to use. Patience, it's on its way! :)
Just to toss in an idea, what do you think about IRC? Do you like it?

if you guys would have like, an IRC link, then i guess anyone anywhere can just log in while being in other rooms.. i think it's a good idea..
but the cons are, that if there is noone on the site, then they can be taken over by other bots...
but then again, if there is no one on the chat channel, then ppl are more inclined to come back here and start threads galore!
hehe, but i would say go ahead with having an IRC channel.. just make sure you let all of us what server u guys would be using!

i have the solution... well let me explain.
u can make a chat room in the IRC, for all people, but people dont have IRC can joint the channel throught the web.. i know exist java programs that u only need to put your nick and click join, and !trick! u are in the same room than the irc guys :)
its easy to do that

Merp. I don't know how to use it. Lol. Someone I know uses it. Apparently, you can be on several different programs with Trillian. I'll research it, if you'd like.

No, it's just that I am using Trillian to chat as a messenger, but I don't see how it can be used as a chat room?
You can access IRC with Trillian. ^_^

IRC won't work with my computer for some reason...I've tried several versions of MIRC and none of them have worked...other than that, IRC is a good idea. I also like the MSN chatroom that some of us from tatugirls go to now and then.
Well, I would offer a final decision, but I hadn't realized that I could decide. Lol!
Also, I'm very indecisive, so it would be a bad idea to give me that sort of option. :P

irc is an idea. you could have it on a network which has something like chanserv which allows you to register and set controls for your channel so that even if you arent there, no one other than the channel operators and the channel founder[s] can change channel modes. irc is a good idea in terms of also being able to boot out any unsavoury characters who abuse the channel regulars or flood, make a nuisance of themselves etc etc. if anyone wants to know more about chanserv and irc commands, give me a shout.
I know how to use Chanserv well enough and most IRC commands. Lol. I'm really always on it. ^_^' Hell, I'm logged on right now. :P

yeah me too :) im always on the south african irc servers to keep touch with my friends back home. i dont use mirc much tho, only when im using windows. most of the time i prefer using xchat on my freebsd machine.

Oh, I haven't opened a room yet. I was saying if TatySite decided that the English chat would be on mIRC, I could easily show whomever how to work a channel as an Op. ^_^

yeah irc is a very easy medium to get to grips with. been using it for about 7 years. which networks do you use ?
Not so long, actually. I still consider myself a newbie, quite frankly. *Laughs.* About four years, maybe. I used to go on Dalnet, but Dalnet's been very difficult to work with. So I've moved to StarChat.Net and Sorcery.Net. Those are much easier to handle. ^_^

i find dalnet to be rather flakey. taking a look at starchat now :)
