mmm just because the same names are used doesn't make em simliar i see it happen with a lot of people that write fanfics. for that fact that is based on taty..and they wanna sound true to it...they use russian names...

Actually, I picked the name Alexi because that is the name of one of my favorite characters in the Nick Seafort saga. (Midshipman's hope, Challenger's hope, etc).

Plus it's russian. :)

Since several people have asked me lately how much longer the story will go on, I figured I'd post here about it.

I've sent Ripp three chapters (don't harass her, she has a life. She'll put them up when she has a chance. :) ) After that I have a day and a half of time to cover. But a *lot* happens in that time period, so I figure....four or five more chapters.

And thank you, to everyone, who has said such kind things about my writing.

i really liked the ending, very original :) infact the whole story was pretty original with lots of different ideas.

my only criticism would be that u explain too much, if u know what i mean (dont worry, i'm not 100% sure what i mean!) but i think that sometimes the characters say thing that are already obvious. and out of 22 (i think) chpters, that is my only criticism :D

i envy u for the way u introduce new ideas and never seem to be unclear about where the story is going. i myself go through stages of not writing my fic, just cos i get bored or am afraid of which direction to take it, incase i regret it.

and finally, thanks for writing it. it was great to read and a great way to relax and take my mind of exams :D

The funny thing is I *do* know what you mean. I was working on my new story today and started cutting out whole paragraphs because I felt I was repeating myself.

It's always been a flaw of mine. Something I'll just have to keep working on. :)
