m2v are MPEG-2 format (SVCD).... You need either an m2v codec or a video player like windvd or powerdvd, which can be downloaded from www.download.com
Videos with SVCD Format (.M2V files) require a video player
such as ElecardElecard Mpeg2 Player v1.35 (http://www.moonlight.co.il/download/EMpgPlay_135.zip) (Win9x/2k/XP)
If you wish to use Windows Media Player to view the videos
then install the player above (FIRST) and
then install the M2V Codec (http://www.tranceaddict.com/files/m2v_codec.exe) and try it out.
