these sports are available at a college can I participate in them even if I have never practiced the sport.

Why don't you ask your university? I don't think any of us would know, different rules everywhere.

In my college, they offer sports to all the students and everyone can participate. They have beginners classes and advanced classes, so well, it's quite simple. But this is Holland and I don't know about your college. Ask them?
