Horror ones,, yeahhh,...

Last thursday I saw Tod Brownning's Dracula, performed by Bela Lugosi,,, it was boring.... nothings else to say. I'm interested in watching Nosferatu, performed by Max Schreck. For me the best movie of Dracula has been the one performed by Gary Oldman, great guy, really, well I'm not that stuck with vampires stuff, duh.

Then I rather "SAW" stuff, Texas Masacre.

Texas Masacre.

:| everytime i pass by that town, i freak out...
and there are a few slaughter houses here arround by where i live..
and not long ago i got lost at night..i went to Wise county..and i saw
the slaughter house..and i was sooo freaked out..i was having a panic
attack, my friend had to drive us home. That shit is scary.

Ive seen a far few horror movies lately! Most recent one was Paradise Lost but i didnt find it that scary.. the trailers to other movies I found scary as i jumped lol!

28 Weeks Later is a great horror movie. full of suspense. i loved it.

The Descent is still a kick ass horror! I watched it round my mates the other day and they jumped at this bit with the stake in the window and i missed it, so said wind it back so i can see it. I said i wouldnt jump but what did i do...I jumped and spilt my coke. To make it worse it was pitch black and we screamed loads! great film!

Im now waiting to see Hostel 2!

I really like horror movies. Comedy and horror are my favorite sort of movies.. That's why I like Scary movies so much - they're mixes of those two genres XD (okay, it's not so scary, I mean it's not scary at all but it's sooo hillarious)

the last horror I've watched is Wax house, with paris hilton.

i liked it.. horror movies rarely make me jump more than once, but dead silence had me 2-3 times. impressive, but then i really really hate dolls in any shape or form so that's probably why :)

I downloaded this movie called The Strangers with Liv Tyler, it's not pure horror, but it keeps your nerves up wondering how you would react if you were in her situation....is from 2007..... however the trailer is here...

a pure remake from the Spanish 2007 film RECLol, same name and almost even same logo as an manga/anime - but nowhere close to being the same content. Hehehe.

On topic:
Horror movies have never been something I've liked, purely because I don't find them very entertaining, but Cube is by far one of my fav films alltogether. Saw is pretty awesome too, allthough it's not covered in the same mystery as Cube is. I like the whole psychological aspect to it - where you almost are in the room with the characters as they try and discover new things about themselves and the place around them - and all you know is what they say in their discussions. I love it.

I watched that too. It was really awful 'cause the acting was perfect and everything seemed very real. I watched many other horror films during my life, but this one shocked me a lot, I don't why.
Now I don't dream about visiting Australia anymore... Grrrr! :)

Mine is Dead birds and in general, I really afraid of films that contains cannibalism, eating someone alive, or people get flesh eating viruses etc.
Forexample Cabin Fever. It was so terrible :hmmm:

Ahh, I just finished re-watching the Korean film "A Tale of Two Sisters" with english subtitles on Youtube, and I loved it. The twist pretty much makes the entire film. I didn't find it scary, just emotionally captivating. The movie seems slow to pick up at first but in the end it all makes sense. It's one of those psychological movies where you really have to watch and think about, because every scene has a significance. No pointless dialogue, no filler scenes... I'd say it's one of the few drama-horror movies that could be considered beautiful, especially with it's cinematography, the vivid sets with a creepy feel to it and the stand-out music, all supporting the tragic storyline.

I'm not sure how the Hollywood remake "The Uninvited" is going to compare, but it already looks like they've changed a lot. It seems too much like those teen horror flicks people watch to get "the lolz" out of, and it probably won't have that emotional appeal. Just cheap-boo's and annoying ghost kids. At least Emily Browning is in it, which is one of the saving points to me.

Yes I find it really good, though I don't know what are your preferences for movies, but I really liked it. It was very impressive and realistic.
The first movie that can actually make suicides look very awful and creepy.

LOL it's so stupid! so.. seen!! it continues the same line with all the other "teenage horror" -lines... Like "I remember what you did last summer".
Of course I understand that the original book will be hundreds of times better.

have you seen the another version of it? The newer one, that is much more longer than the 80's version you posted the trailer. Anyways, the newer one is not better. it only contains a bit more referring to the book, of course because it's much more longer :D forexample there is the labyrinth and living statues etc..

Yea, the newer one that you are referring to is the version that Stephen King actually did himself. He wasn't all that satisfied with the way Stanley Kubrick did the first one. King was especially not happy that Kubrick didn't emphasize the alcoholism in the movie as much as King did in the book. King, in reality, used to have quite a drinking problem.

So, Stephen King made his own version--which I have not saw yet and really want to--that was a made-for-tv movie, which is why it is so long.

The book is just do dang good! Because, although it does deal with the supernatural, it's really not very unrealistic. I'm about 3/4 the way through it and this is my second time reading it. lol

Snap! It looks fantastic. The original Halloween 2 is my favourite sequel to the original Halloween. I also love Halloween 3 - Season of the Witch a lot too especially it's electronic soundtrack.
