I can recommend Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/):

Audacity is a free, easy-to-use audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems. You can use Audacity to:

* Record live audio.
* Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs.
* Edit Ogg Vorbis, MP3, and WAV sound files.
* Cut, copy, splice, and mix sounds together.
* Change the speed or pitch of a recording.

CuBase ... probably takes a gig or two of space, but it's very nice if you just know how to use it (I don't. Hehehe).

Is obtainable on Bittorrent. I got v2.5 from www.torrentspy.com, buuut I've never installed it. Actually I think I've deleted it. Hehehe. I got a kick of doing that sorta stuff, but by the time I had downloaded the program I lost interest. Go me and long-term-dedication :D Gawd, I'm lazy. Hahahaha

Price Kitan, it's a huge file and it might be difficult to upload, try the trial if you want: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Mixers-Synthesizers/Adobe-Audition.shtml

I think that URL should work, but I didn't try it myself.

i wana know if theres a program that u can be the worst singer in the world and change the voice so it sounds like perfect, how most singers voices are altered. or add like a robotic, electric sound to your voice.

well...i'm not so helpful in that area...but Mino-An suggested to me orion program, coz she recorded many tatu/violin stuff and self recorded songs...u can find in download.com under the category "softwares"...don't get terrified of what u see when u first open the program...well that's what i did...freaked out and hid under my bed :p...but then i realized it's easy to use...use F1 for help and tutorials on it if needed...
