its real late and im still bruised and cut from my brazilian jiu jitsu spar and i can't sleep, so i figure id open a lil discussion on the rising trend of MMA through organizations like PRIDE Fighting Championships (http://www.pridefc.com/)
and the UFC (http://www.ufc.com/) and their fighters.
id have to say my fave fighters at this point are George St.Pierre (http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?FighterID=3500), Bj Penn (http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=fighter.detail&PID=154), Wanderlei Silva (http://www.pridefc.com/pride2005/index.php?mainpage=fighters&fID=154) and Fedor Emalinienko (http://www.pridefc.com/pride2005/index.php?mainpage=fighters&fID=61). and im realling hoping the fight with wandy and chuck pulls though..itll be a war :coctail:
my sparring record so far is 6 - 2 - 0 (win - loss - tie) All my sparring partners have a background in TKD and after my spars with them, I truly think that bjj is just as effective as most commonly known martial arts (look up Royce Gracie)
