I thought I'd make a Valeriya thread because I've loved her last two albums (although she's had a 3 year hiatus between!), and someone gave me her latest album which included alot of video clips.

She's older (as in, been around since 1992!), tends to lipsynch on stage in this annoying perpetual state of happiness (and I'm sure she's had 'work' done), but she's a perennial favorite in Russia, so here goes:

her song chasiki always makes me think of a few summers ago when i started liking russian music and it was played on the radio a lot. The funny thing is that in my one class we watched a documentary about a man who started a business in Novosibirsk and they showed a clip of a night club they played the remix of Chasiki and i was like 'ooo, devochkoi svoyeyu ty menya na zovi..' haha! the memories!

I'm not sure if this is really offtopic or not... Idk, but is it just me or does the instrumental of Gde Zhe Ty sound similar to Elena Katina's demo "You"???:confused:
EDIT: It actually sounds alot similar except lyrics... And also, I Know of Valeriya...

Em....maybe because the song is "YOU". After tatu refused the song Sergey galoyan sold the song to Valeriya. The lyrics are a little different but the melody and music is the same. he also sold her the song "I Know"

Well its finally happening on the 4th May 2009 Valeriya's album - Out of control will be available in uk shops and Itunes. The uk edition is a little different to the russian english edition and "Where are you" has been replaced by "Back to love" which im kinda disapointed however i dont see why they couldn't have put both songs on there.

Anyhow her new single in uk Back to love is also available to buy on uk itunes.

valeriya has relsed her album out of control in the uk i must say i really like it and shes done a good version of i know (the demo lena katina sang along with claire guy)

yes i really like it too. Though i was a bit disapointed that she removed the song "Where are you" and put back to love on instead.
